一、学校简介
宜昌市第六中学始创于1959年,是宜昌市初中唯一一所“全国文明校园”,先后获全国生态文明教育特色学校、教育部中美千校携手项目示范学校、湖北省教育工作先进集体等百余项国家、省、市级荣誉称号。
学校以“和合”价值观为引领,以“和而不同,各得其所”为校训,围绕“以生为本,为学生一生的发展和幸福奠基"的教育理念,通过合众汇智的方式,实现学校及每一位师生“与自然和,与时代和,与自我和”。
Introduction to Yichang No.6 Middle School
Yichang No.6 Middle School, founded in 1959, is the only junior high school in Yichang City honored as a “National Civilized Campus”. It has received over 100 national, provincial, and municipal honorary titles, including “National Ecological Civilization Education Model School”, “Demonstration School for China-US Thousand Schools Partnership Program” (under China’s Ministry of Education), and “Hubei Provincial Advanced Education Collective”.
Guided by the core value of “Harmony and Integration” and the school motto “With harmony in diversities as a whole, everyone flourishes”, the school adheres to the principle “Students-foremost and laying foundations for their lifelong development and happiness”. By embracing collective wisdom, the school strives to have every member involved including teachers, students and school itself to achieve the harmony with the nature, the times, and the ego.

学校英语教研组是一支结构合理、充满活力的专业团队,由12名教师组成,高级教师3名,市学科带头人1名,市1+1+N中心组成员1名,市明星班主任1名,区学科中心组成员3名,涵盖专家型教师、中坚骨干和青年教师,形成“传帮带”的良性发展机制。教研组通过集体备课、跨区域教研、青蓝工程等举措不断提升教师专业水平;通过不断夯实课堂教学,聚焦学生英语学科核心素养的培养。近年来,在各级教学竞赛、课题研究、学生活动中英语教研组屡获佳绩,并积极承担校际交流与师范生培养任务,为学校高质量发展和区域英语教育水平的提升贡献智慧与力量!
Introduction to the English Teaching and Research Group
The English Teaching and Research Group at Yichang No.6 Middle School is a well-structured and dynamic professional team consisting of 12 teachers. It includes 3 Senior Teachers, 1 Municipal Academic Leader, 1 Municipal 1+1+N Core Group Member, 1 Municipal Renowned Class Teacher, and 3 District Subject Core Members. The team encompasses professional teachers, mid-aged teachers, and young teachers, fostering a prosperous development mechanism to pass on knowledge and experience. The group continuously elevates teaching expertise through collaborative lesson planning, cross-regional teaching research, and the Master Apprentice Pairing Project. The group focuses on cultivating students’ core competencies in English by solidifying classroom instruction. It has achieved outstanding achievement in recent years across teaching competitions, research projects, and student activities. Additionally, the group actively engages in inter-school exchanges and teacher-training activities, contributing wisdom and strength to the school’s high-quality development and the advancement of regional English education.

团队深耕教学教研,中考英语成绩稳居市区前列,全体教师积极参与国家级课题研究,在“一师一优课”、基础教育“精品课”等评选中屡获部级、省级优课荣誉,教学案例与学术论文在国家级、省市级评选中多次获奖。英语教研组连续5年获评区“学习型教研组”。

The group consistently devotes to teaching and researching, and students’ English scores in the High School Entrance Examination have consistently secured top rankings at the district level. All teachers actively participate in national-level research projects and teaching competitions such as the “One Teacher, One Exemplary Lesson” and “Basic Education Quality Courses”, receiving multiple ministerial and provincial-level honors. Besides, teaching case studies and academic papers by the group have been recognized in national, provincial, and municipal competitions,showing innovative pedagogical practices.Recognized as a District-Level “Learning-Oriented Teaching Group” for five consecutive years, the group exemplifies innovation, collaboration, and educational excellence.

数据赋能,精准定位助力学生可持续成长,借大数据深度分析,精准锁定学习问题,及时调整教学策略与内容,促进学生学业进步;活动支撑,多元实践提升学生核心素养,开展丰富多彩的英语实践活动,如课本剧表演、趣配音、科学实践、旅行日记、分级阅读等,在实践中提升学生学科核心素养;开放交流,多方联动拓宽视野,与麻城六中、新疆温泉县等地联动教研,推动优质资源跨区域共享;和俄罗斯留学生课堂互动,与美国亚利桑那州索罗兰径中学互访,搭建文化交流桥梁,培育学生国际视野、家国情怀。

The group make use of big-data analysis to pinpoint learning gaps, refine teaching strategies, and tailor content for students’ improvement. It carries out diverse English practicing activities to enhance students’ core competencies skills in English, including: Textbook Drama Performances, Fun Dubbing Activities, Science-Integrated Projects, Travel Vlogs, Graded Reading Programs. The group also welcomes communications with schools in different regions and countries. It conducts research with schools like Macheng No.6 Middle School and Xinjiang’s Wenquan County to broaden horizons and share high-quality educational resources. It creates opportunities for students to interact with Russian exchange students and exchanges visits with Soronan Trail Middle School in Arizona, USA. It dedicates to building a cultural bridge, fostering young people with patriotism and global perspectives.




四、英语组未来五年发展规划
一是继续实施“青蓝工程”,以常态化听课评课、教学基本功竞赛等活动助力青年教师快速成长;二是不断雕琢英语特色系列课程,给学生提供更优质、更丰富的英语学习资源,满足不同学生的学习需求与兴趣;三是培养英语特色人才,借助学校对外交流平台,培养具有扎实英语基础、良好跨文化交际能力的英语特色人才。
Five-Year Development Plan for the English Teaching and Research Group
First, our group will continue to implement the Master Apprentice Pairing Project. To accelerate young teachers’ professional growth, our group will require teachers to take part in regular class observation and evaluation, and organize teaching competitions. Second, our group will consistently refine English courses to deliver high-quality, diversified learning resources, catering to students’ varied learning needs and interests. Third, we will continue to cultivate globally competent English talent by leveraging the school’s international exchange platforms to nurture students with solid English proficiency, cross-cultural communication skills, and a global mindset.
